Camp

The BDC debate camp is hosted each summer by the University of Kentucky. This year, camp will take place on the UK campus from Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, 2023.

Camp is open to students entering grades 7 through 12; no prior experience required! Instruction will focus on Public Forum Debate, helping strengthen students' argumentation, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. To learn more about this debate format, please see here.

As a commuter program that runs from 10:00AM to 4:00PM daily, parents/guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up your students at the appropriate time. Please see here to view our typical schedule. The cost is $250 per student, which includes lunch at the Champions Kitchen dining hall. Financial aid is available.
