Once Again, BDC Students Excel At Wilson Wyatt Tournament
On December 11th, the Wilson Wyatt Debate League (WWDL) hosted a competition for students in Kentucky. Bluegrass Debate Coalition students participated in the “Novice Public Forum” division and received multiple awards.
Students debated the NSDA topic, “Resolved: Increased United States federal regulation of cryptocurrency transactions and/or assets will produce more benefits than harms.”
In total, two BDC teams advanced to the “Semi-Finals” round and four BDC students received Top 10 speaker awards. A warm congratulations to:
Semi-Finalists: Anvi Vaish (Beaumont Middle School) & Aarav Tibrewal (Rosa Parks Elemenetary)
Semi-Finalists: Aryan Rana, (Wellington Elementary), and Aarko Guha, (Rosa Parks Elementary)
Aarav Tibrewal, 4th Place
Aarko Guha, 5th Place
Anvi Vaish, 6th Place
Aryan Rana, 8th Place
Impressively, the elementary and middle school BDC students who attended primarily competed against high school students and were able to succeed in spite of the challenges!
Congratulations to all Bluegrass Debate Coalition students who attended and received recognition. Once again, our students demonstrate the power and effectiveness of debate education.
