After-School Debate Classes

Research Guide

Topic: Increasing Organic Agriculture

About Assigned Homework

Students enrolled in the Bluegrass Debate Coalition After School Debate Program are encouraged to utilize additional assigned materials to supplement their learning. Teachers in our program may recommend a variety of different out of class work, including reading articles and papers, engaging in research, watching video content, and more. The goal of all assigned homework is to further advance students skills in critical thinking, argumentation, researching, writing, and communication.

About the Research Guide

The BDC After School Learning Program teaches students debate fundamentals, intermediate and advanced skills, and provides guidance in researching the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) topic. In order to maximize learning, students must arrive prepared, which includes having performed any and all necessary research. These guides, demonstrations, and lectures should provide useful information for our students.
